NSC (aka "She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed-Sometimes" sent me an email with her "bucket list" of things she's done in her life, so I felt compelled to post mine here.
THINGS I'VE DONE ALREADY:
- Been to Europe
- Been on a cruise
- Gone on a blind date
- Skipped school
- Been to Canada
- Been to Mexico
- Been to Florida
- Been on a plane
- Been on the opposite side of the country (started life in Maine, currently live in Arizona)
- Been to Vegas (yea, Baby!)
- Climbed a lighthouse (don't tell the Coast Guard)
- Watched someone die (that's all I have to say about that)
- Swam in the ocean
- Cried yourself to sleep (yes, real men cry)
- Played cops and robber
- Gone to Washington, DC
- Been to the Kentucky Derby
- Been to Key West
- Been to a rodeo (amazing what a guy will do for a girl)
- Paid for a meal with coins only
- Done something you told yourself you wouldn't (yeah, I'm the guy who once said in 2004 that, "I will never run for International Director.")
- Made prank phone calls (I was eight and it was Jason's idea...I swear)
- Laughed until some kind of beverage came out of your nose (soda tickles)
- Caught a snowflake on your tongu
- Danced in the rain (you could ask, but I'm not telling you the story)
- Written a letter to Santa Claus (dude, I'm STILL waiting for that GI Joe with the Kung Fu Grip)
- Been kissed under the mistletoe
- Watched the sunrise with someone
- Watched the sunset with someone
- Blown bubbles
- Gone ice-skating (not a pretty sight)
- Gone to the movies
- Owned a convertible
- Been to Hawaii
- Been to Africa
- Appeared on TV (yes and not even as part of the police report)
- Stolen a traffic sign (it occurs to me now that Jason may have been a bad influence on me)
- Been in a car accident
THINGS LEFT TO DO:
- See the Cherry Blossoms in Washington, D.C. (although I've been to DC a few times, I've never seen the cherry blossoms with my own two eyes)
- Been lost a lot of times (not that I'll ever admit)
- Own a boat (fortunately, I've got friends who let me play with their boats)
- Watch grandchildren grow (got to have kids first...THAT won't be happening)
- Recently colored with crayons (define "recently"...does 30+ years fit that?)
- Sing Karaoke (never been drunk enough...if I was, then I don't remember)
- See the green flash at sunset (exactly what drugs are involved in seeing that?)
- Eat just cookies for dinner

- How much do you love your job? I LOVED my career, right before it hit the toilet due to the economy. The current job gets me out of the house and helps to pay the bills, but it definately isn't my calling.
